On the 40th Anniversary of a landmark book, I have to say, I have never heard of it. I downloaded it to my Kindle and have been reading it... why, as one of four daughters, a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, specific classes in Human Sexuality, Women's Studies, and many, many stumbles through Women's issues, did I never hear of this book?
Our Bodies Ourselves
A reminder that just because everybody knew about something at one time, it doesn't mean the information has been passed down. We are still so shy about telling children basic things. And then they are pre-teens, and then they are teens, and then I am a 37 year old woman and no one ever gave me a manual to my body that is already half done.
When do we start telling the truth - no judgement, just the truth?
